Aunty…. Unggelekku theveiya?

The title says it all! This time, I would neither go around bashing those boys nor would I bash those girls, but for a change, it would be an AUNTY! An aunty by the name of ‘Veeramah‘.

The story goes like this. I was going through some of my local Tamil songs collection inside my PC and there was a folder called “Veeramah”. Inside that folder were a bunch of songs purportedly sang by this “Veeramah” and I have totally forgotten how the hell did those “Veeramah” songs got into my PC! No, it is not a virus or a spyware. And no, my mother’s name is not Veeramah either.

All of a sudden, a flashback came into my mind. I could then recall that I happened to stumble upon this “Veeramah” audio CD long time ago at Brickfields and I had a shock the moment I had a glimpse at the cover of the CD! It depicted a middle-aged woman posing like a BIKER and If I’m not mistaken, a Harley-Davidson-look-alike bike was beside her and It was kinda funny.

A few years have passed and I am now having her songs in my PC! Hmmm. Anyway, I just thought of listening to one of her tracks out of curiosity and to my stupor, I was speechless. Speechless in such a way that I could not type anything else further.

      Who really took time and put some initiative and burn money to produce this album? Damn? Veeramah respek la..at least she made one album beb..bukan senang..pastu kena review by us..haha :grin:

      Ok… Now,Thank you for ur comments friends!!! I think Makkez should upload other songs as well, Or Maybe he doesn’t know that this album won “Best Music Composing” at the 2004 Anugerah Musik India Malaysia & it’s interview published in an Australian Magazine. Not all song in this album is in the same genre. There r also a few wellknown people worked in this album;Boy Radge, J.B.Manimaran,Moses,Bob Nathan & S.L.Kiru. I don’t blame u all. C,this is our First Album & we need some experience for improvement. It’s “difficult” to get Success in the 1st Album. We faced so many obstacles while producing & to air this album. There are Sooo MANY msian Tamil albums in the market-some are good ,some jUst OK,but not ALL get the support from local radio stations. Pls respect them ALL,music is a way to express their Feelings,try to LISTEN to their lyrics. U all know,”private” radio stations only air’s their “Family & Friends” songs. Some will get into M’sian Top ten #1 even before it’s officially launched. But we are happy,We did “something” rather than Nothing! Enngale valarkathinaalum paravaillei,aana valaravavathu vidungge! Sorry!!!

      Brother Diwan, everyone here supports the local music scene…FYI, I’m one of the biggest fan. I agree with your points but I think you’re getting harsh in a way you did not realize.

      I do not know how on earth this piece of music up there could have won Best Music Composing. But then, congratulation.

      From the way people had commented on this blog, you should realize the response towards the music that had been produced by your good self or the company you’re associated with.

      Music is a way to express your feelings , how true, but it really hurt me to the core when I listened to this song, how pathetic can local artist get? You actually hurt my feelings.

      I say, the above song deserved the criticism by the visitors here. Produce some at least quality songs, I will be there to promote and buy it. Never call Ayama or Suppama with a horrifying voice to sing.

      Dear Mr.Durai,Pls read AGAIN,i said this “ALBUM” won Best Music Composing,not this particular song.FYI There are 7 tracks in this album.

      You said “everyone here supports the local music scene” But i dont see that qualities in you. You could have choosed the best in this album & comment abt it,instead u prefer to choose the worst & make fun of it! C who’s hurting himself?!!

      1) This post condemns only the particular song embedded above, and has nothing to do with the rest of the songs nor the album itself. Please take note on that.

      2) It is true that it’s kinda difficult to get success in 1st album itself and that is why we are here to criticise this song to the max, be it a positive feedback or a negative feedback so that the singer could improve in her upcoming albums.

      3) Yes, I do respect our local songs and if you happened to look around my blog, you’ll find a few posts related to “local malaysian tamil songs”. I hope that would be sufficient enough to prove to you that I am an ardent fan of local music and I listen to all kind of genres of local songs.

      4) “Listen to their lyrics”? Yes, I did, but all I could hear is the word “Veeramah” being shouted repeatedly and the sentence “Vanthuputten Vanthuputten Veeramah” being yelled in a disturbing way. You have anything to say on that?

      5) If we choose the best song in this album and talk about it, I don’t think it would benefit you in any way besides making you feel happy about it. In fact, I chose the ‘worst’ song so that you could know where the mistake was made and how you may correct it. Hey, if you noticed or not, even you have mentioned that we CHOOSE THE WORST, which means, you are agreeing with us that it is ‘worst’. =)

      6) FYI, there are 8 tracks in this album.

      Yo ! The lyrics savaadi… but need to take few strepstils to brush her voice. Ragam and thalam konjum tunning thevai but a good start at this age. Music does not need age(vayasu thadai), as long as you have the spirit to give a good product to to indian community sure people will support all the malaysian artist…. We are also doing our singles and hope to get critics from everyone so we can do better in the future.
