Happy New Year 2009

FX Labs is set to launch Ghajini -The Game for PC on 28th December. Based on the recently released Bollywood movie Ghajini, the game is touted to be India’s first 3D PC game. View the trailer of Ghajini - The Game and read a synopsis of it here.
Developed by FX Labs, the trailers of Ghajini - The Game has Max Payne-like gameplay integrated into a Manhunt-like environment in a Grand Theft Auto-like style layout. Stay tuned for more on the game. The producers obviously hope it will be a big success since it is linked to a Bollywood flick starring top actors.

They should have put Surya as the main character instead of Aamir Khan. Well, It’s not that I prefer Surya just for the sake of him being a Tamil actor but candidly, his appearance in the Tamil version of Ghajini was splendid.
Anyway, kudos to the team for making the first ever 3D game based on an Indian movie. As a result of this, I hereby demand games based on the following movies:
Two movies-convert-games which I believe would not even need a single cheat code would be Kuruvi - The Game and Narasimma - The Game. Come on, just hit a single key on the keyboard to jump from on top of a building to the railway track located far away opposite the building, and another hit on a single key on the keyboard to ensure the main character (assuming Vijayakanth in Narasimma - The Game) counter-attacks every single attack that were lashed at him, including a current shock.

I believe some of you might recall a post regarding “SLC - The Plan” in this blog which dates a few months back. For those newcomers, you might wanna check it out here. Well, I happened to stumble upon that ‘SLC - The Plan‘ site moments ago and noticed that they have already initiated their first ever task to supply tables and chairs to a selected school, which was SJK(T) Ladang Midlands, Shah Alam. Kudos to the team!
Although I do appreciate their priceless efforts in making this ‘plan’ a big success, nonetheless I really hope that the team would spare some time to do a total makeover of their site. One thing that I would love to stress about is regarding the chatbox. Well, it shouldn’t be there in the first place. They are simply inviting some anonymous chatters to engage in a cyberwar and I won’t be surprised if sooner or later, the chatbox would be bombarded with tons of racial slurs and name-calling games. And secondly, until now, I still don’t see any detailed information pertaining to the committee members besides some of their names, bank account numbers and state representatives listed a few pages back. Who are those people in the management team?
Do bear in mind that whatever I wrote previously were merely my worth of two cents. =)
Keep up the good work guys! Valge nam samuthaiyam!

I found the above news to be very funny and therefore I’m posting it here. For those who are too lazy to read the news, just have a look at the title of this post and I believe you would have an instant imagination of what the news is all about. I am not sure If you guys happen to notice it or not, but Harian Metro is very keen in reporting about RAPE / SKANDAL / GANGBANG / PELACURAN / KANTOI / SKODENG and the best part is, these kind of news would always be printed on the first page itself accompanied with a blurred version or a censored version of a related screenshot. Advertising method targeted for perverts perhaps?
Anyway, thank god the kids involved in that gangbang were not Indians. Having said that, it doesn’t mean all the Indian kids are saints. It’s just a matter of time before a bombastic news involving Indian teenagers shall appear on the first page of Harian Metro. I repeat, it’s just a matter of time.

When it comes to local Tamil songs, I am a huge fan of ‘em and I dare to say that I have a huge collection of local songs stored in my hard drive. I do listen to them whenever I get the chance to fire up my Winamp and sometimes, I even end up listening to the same song over and over again.
Basically, the very first local Tamil song that I heard and loved would be “Akkamage” by “The Keys”. If I’m not mistaken, 1994 would be the year when the song was released. Those were the days when Samba Rock became the most famous and preferred genre in local Tamil music industry. Then, there was Lock Up, with some of their hit songs such as “Kokkorogiri”, “La La La”, “Sha Na Na” and some other great songs. Their genre would be focused more towards “pop” although there would be some minor mixtures from other genres. Talking about boy bands alone, how could we forget our beloved “The Girls“? “Manasukkul Kachal Adikirethe” would be one of the sexiest song sang by one of the girls, probably due to her westernised Tamil pronunciation. Ohh, what a song! =D
Then there was “Kashmir Stone”, my all-time favorite local Tamil band. I have listened to nearly all of their songs and until now, their songs are still listenable regardless of the place, situation and time. To name a few, “Neethane”, “Setiap Malam” and “Rosanna” would have my utmost respect, followed by their other songs. Believe it or not, the “Rosanna” song has been favored by many Malays due to the “jiwangness” of that song and thus, a lot of Malay guitarists started to practice its tune. Furthermore, they even composed the infamous “Mega Serial” song, dedicated to all those mommies who are glued to Tamil serials 24/7. If your mother haven’t heard of it, well, she really should. In addition to these artists, Hervin would also never fail to enthral me with his songs, such as “Kaiyeh” and “Vaadi Pache Pavadekari“.
Now the fact is, everything that you read previously was “history”. As of now, our local Tamil music industry is filled with huge influx of “rap” and “hip-hop” songs. You see, I’m not condemning them nor am I disliking their songs, but since many of them indulged in the same genre and contributing to a lot of competitors, why don’t they try digging into some other genres? Pop, rock, blues or even new age perhaps? Those who indulged and succeeded, well, congrats to you! But to those who indulged, failed miserably, and tries again in the same genre, well, the grass would always be greener on the other side boys. Please do not take this as an ‘advise’ since I’m not a professional hommie like some of you rappers and hip-hoppers out there, but I WOULD LOVE TO SEE you people doing some songs in genres that our local artists have never dominated before. See below for examples.

It’s been a while since I last browsed Friendster and as I did today, my bulletin board was flooded with quite a number of the same bulletin posts. I won’t read bulletins unless I find the title to be kinda interesting but this time, it was very interesting since the bulletins that I mentioned had the word “Indian girls” in it. “INDIAN GALS”, “Why Indian girls are like this??”, “Indian gals, READ IT!!”. The previous three are some of the titles for the posts which were repeatedly being posted and hence, flooding my bulletin board.

I’m not a girl for sure but at the same time, I found the above piece of writing to be funny. Funny in the sense of how the writer conveys his/her message to the public. It seems that the writer is really pissed with the attitude of some of our teenage Indian girls when it comes to makeups and their dressings.
Although the bulletin post has nothing to do with me, but as a reader of that bulletin, I would love to highlight some of the excerpts that I am unclear about, hoping that the writer/reposter/someone else could assist me in understanding what the writer is trying to say.
face full of powder…lipstick so thick OMG so..damn i just dont know what to say..its not i am telling you girls cant..but please la…try to dress up n make over like a teenager…
Sounds contradicting at first but I’m just wondering, don’t you think that is what our current kiddie teenage girls are up to lately?

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian police has bought 25 high-powered Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution cars to catch criminals and speed hogs.
The cars, worth several millions of ringgit, would be fitted with safety gadgets and would sport the looks of police patrol cars.
Sources said the police had already taken possession and were testing the cars before sending them to the Road Transport Department for registration and approval.
“The cars are to be used in high-speed car chase, especially in cases of carjacking, kidnapping and hijacking.
Wow, I’m surprised! While we could see our government trying its best to promote local cars hoping that more people would buy it, on the other half, the police force decided to do otherwise. It looks like they are slowly ditching our local cars and opt for the best. Anyway, I bet the reason for this upgrade would not be limited to the speed issue alone, but would definitely be inclusive of the overall quality of the car. Wait a minute, by saying that, I am not degrading our local cars.
Looks like our mat rempits now have a challenger on the road, just that the new ‘challenger’ would have four wheels and won’t bother to bang those rempits if there is a need for them to do so. Not forgetting some of our karat kaigels who would love to curi some expensive cars and drive all the way to a secluded area hoping that no one could chase them, too bad, they have a new challenger as well. All hail our police force!
