“Why Indian girls are like this?” in Friendster
It’s been a while since I last browsed Friendster and as I did today, my bulletin board was flooded with quite a number of the same bulletin posts. I won’t read bulletins unless I find the title to be kinda interesting but this time, it was very interesting since the bulletins that I mentioned had the word “Indian girls” in it. “INDIAN GALS”, “Why Indian girls are like this??”, “Indian gals, READ IT!!”. The previous three are some of the titles for the posts which were repeatedly being posted and hence, flooding my bulletin board.
I’m not a girl for sure but at the same time, I found the above piece of writing to be funny. Funny in the sense of how the writer conveys his/her message to the public. It seems that the writer is really pissed with the attitude of some of our teenage Indian girls when it comes to makeups and their dressings.
Although the bulletin post has nothing to do with me, but as a reader of that bulletin, I would love to highlight some of the excerpts that I am unclear about, hoping that the writer/reposter/someone else could assist me in understanding what the writer is trying to say.
face full of powder…lipstick so thick OMG so..damn i just dont know what to say..its not i am telling you girls cant..but please la…try to dress up n make over like a teenager…

Care to define “natural beauty”? So, does that means a girl who has a lot of pimples and acnes in her face, shouldn’t do over-makeups (as this kind of girls will usually do), just for the sake of showing off her “natural beauty”?

haha well no words..evry1 has their own opinion 2 control evry aspect of their life… i personally think tht make-up acts as a tool to bo0st sum1′z confidence. I look very simple in my frensta photos, most of the photos were taken when i’m with my frens in college or after playing netball….and i received comments like make-up tips from guys!!
Their tips are as follows :-
1) “Wear powder lah”
2) “Do you want me to buy lipstic for you?? i think purple will suit you!”
3) “I think you need some deep-red on your cheeks as they will look more cute”
4) “Use neem facial wash to get rid off the pimples on your face”
5) “Don’t tie you hair all the time, let go to make you look younger!!”
And the most weirdest thing i came across when i viewed their profile was their names were like “lipstick guy” , “glossy boy” &
“mascaratic fellow”!!!

hi makkez.. hmmm.. i think that gal.. whoever the one who wrote the buletin.. has a good point.. im not a gal.. but i surely understand what the writer is trying to say.. eventhou her english is confusing.. hmmm.. actually having frenster wen u are 13 or 14 is not so wrong.. but uploading pictures of ur self .. 1 pic is ok kot for a 14 year old gal brought up in the tamil kalacharam way.. but uploading to many photos of ur self with those heavy make ups and wearing saree’s like asin and nayanthara.. hmmm.. and giving a slutty cheap looking post… i think its not appropriate.. but the main people that is wrong in this situation is the parents.. i wonder what daddy will say if he finds her little gal’s pic in frenster posing like an rm20 slut… there goes my gal.. hmmm…. parents beware of wat ur kids are doing… hmmm.. thats all i guess.. mendum santhipom.. bye…
