Semmozhiyaana Tamizh Mozhiyaam: Kes Tangkap

I bet most of you would have heard and seen the infamous “Semmozhiyaana Tamizh Mozhiyaam” video song composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman and would have surely enjoyed it. I did watched the video as well, not once, not twice but a couple of times. My first ever glimpse at the video was to ensure how the video was taken and my second glimpse was to ensure how perfect the lyrics were penned. But ever since I had the first glimpse, I suspected something fishy.

If you happened to view the video again and paused the video at 03:23, you will notice a group of workers coming up with a mural of a school student at the wall of the building. If you look closely, the mural depicts a school-going kid staring at the camera whilst she was in the midst of eating a piece of KFC chicken with a glass of coke at the other side.

Now you might be wondering, how bloody sure I am that I could precisely tell what she is eating and what drink is that, despite it being just-a-mural. Well, It’s because the original photo (which they used to make the ‘mural’) seems to be copyrighted to Makkez.com where as the photo was taken during our (In collaboration with RagedIndian.com) first ever Charity Plan that we carried out a year ago in SJKT Pulau Carey Selatan, Banting, Selangor (Click here to read the blog post).

Call me paranoid but I am pretty sure that both of the mural and the original photo were the same since both of them have been placed side-by-side and the similarities have been confirmed. Kindly view the following spoiler for the case-study that I did.

What prompted me to blog this is after I came across a comment in RagedIndian.com saying the same thing about the resemblance of the mural and the charity picture since I was having the same doubt initially. Please don’t think that I am being proud just because one of the photos that I took have been used indirectly in the production of this video song (of course, I can’t expect myself to ask A.R.Rahman or Gautham Menon to give me credits). My intention is to let you know how happy the schoolgirl in the photo above would have felt if she got to know that ‘she got featured’ in a video song composed by A.R. Rahman and knowing the fact that her photo had been ‘muralised’ in one of the buildings in that particular city in TamilNadu. Come on, how many of us would have the chance to be featured in a video by A.R.Rahman, let alone with the involvement of some famous singers from India?

That being said, I have sent the link of this post to one of the teachers in SJKT Pulau Carey Selatan and asked her to inform the girl on the photo on how famous she had been lately. ;)

I’m not sure what your real name is but all I got to say is congrats girl! ;)

      i beleive your just one of those guys who doesnt enjoy good things…
      you could talk all you want about punjab,hindi and all the languages in the world..However till now the oldest and longest standing language is tamil…i got nothing personal against other races but i do go against LOSER’s like you who doesnt actually respect others in life..
