Makkez.com – A Recap
It’s been nearly 5 years ever since makkez.com was registered and until now, I still can’t believe how on earth I am still surviving with this blog, taking into account many, and I mean many other Malaysian Indian bloggers who were active around 2006 ~ 2008 are nowhere to be seen nowadays.

It all started in the late 2007 when HINDRAF was active at that moment and I unintentionally became a middleman between HINDRAF and the fellow netizens whereby any emails / updates channeled to me will be immediately uploaded in this blog. For your information, all my readers came from search engines those days as Facebook was in the midst of implementing the LIKE button as well as the SHARE button in websites, thus making my blog fully dependent on search engines. If you dig down my posts dated 3 to 4 years back, you will see that most of them are non-M1 related.
Then, all of a sudden and out of nowhere, came the M1 phenomenon whereby readers seem to be attracted to posts lambasting Indian girls, Indian mandes as well as Indian attitudes/self-made cultures. This seemed to be a twist in my blogging career as I started to tone down posts related to politics and started to indulge in M1-related topics. Please take note that up to date, “Maire Satu” doesn’t have its own proper explanation nor having its own Wikipedia entry. It’s just a blogging sensation that we, the M1 bloggers, are adhering to.

Alright, to cut it short, let me list down some of the posts that I will self-proclaim to be deserving a place in Makkez.com’s Hall of Fame/Shame.
Muar Kali – This post contributed to a World war 3 in my blog a few years back and sparked heated debate between the bloggers, readers and a guy claiming to be from the temple committee itself. The guy then challenged me to go down to Johor to witness the magic show myself and said that he will offer me a few kilograms of mutton in return. Nah, just kidding.
Tamil Vulgar Rap Song – Da Bitcha’z Song – I was one of the first to post this song online and since many people were googling for this song as well at that particular time, some of them ended up in my blog. This post became a furore when most of the girls started to condemn the singer and most of the guys started to condemn the bitches. Thank god, none condemned me for posting this song.
Mallu girl and her ‘non-racist’ email – No comment on this. I don’t want to repeat the whole story over and over again. For those of you who are new to this post, then take your time to read it. **Never expected this issue to end this way though.
Everyone, hantam this AMOI! – Yet another article which ended up with police reports and with an apology. Read it if you haven’t.
Semmozhiyaana Tamizh Mozhiyaam: Kes Tangkap – Now this, my readers, happens to be the only topic that I will never ever forget for the rest of my life. Thanks to Gautham Menon for not giving us a single credit (SaiFund.org) for the girl’s picture. Again, if you haven’t read it, then go ahead and read it.
Those days, It was Friendster which gave me ideas to post a lot of topics and as of now, the successor is Facebook. Thanks to the Indian mandes, machans and meenachis in these social networking sites, we, the M1 bloggers, will always have something to write about you.
Now, you might be wondering why did I come up with this post. Well, as of today, 29th May, marks my 25th anniversary ever since I was brought to this world. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my readers, blog lurkers, haters, commenters, fellow blogging partners, friends, Presana Narayanan and each and everyone of you that had contributed to the development of this blog either directly or indirectly.
Happy birthday, Makkez.
