As promised, we have successfully executed our charity activity on the 9th of July 2009. To be frank, this would be the second charity activity that I have been involved after being hooked up with another charity a few weeks back, which was the “Sri Lankan War Victims Charity Car Wash“.

Well, basically, everything was well-planned and we are glad that we never went through any “downs” compared to the “ups” that we gained throughout the execution. Anyway, the school that we visited was SJK(T) Pulau Carey Selatan (Banting) and believe it or not, the total students in that school were only 44+ students. Brother Durai had explained pretty well on what happened during our journey to that school thus I won’t be touching that part in detail.

The moment we reached that school, we were like “So, where’s the other buildings?”. Well, it seems that the school is just fit enough to cater all those 44+ students with their moderate-conditioned classrooms, a small HM room and a mini-library. The school toilet were demolished recently and it seemed that they rebuilt it on a separate ground and I’m not sure about the water supply over there as the moment we had a peek inside, there was no water!
 

Leaving that aside, we quickly gathered at what-seemed-to-be their ‘canteen’ and there was Mr. Satish, the person in charge (since the HM was not around). He was a very nice man and he acknowledged our visit to that school and even asked our whereabouts and exchanged some questions amongst each other. He was very delighted with our motive to help that school in a way that we could and thanked us in advance. Without hesitation, he quickly asked all the students to gather at the ‘canteen’ and believe me, all the students were very well-mannered and disciplined. It was quite usual for those students to chit-chat with one another at first and there was another lady teacher who came forward and warned them to remain silent. Well, that won’t be something new to us though.

Then, we started serving the Mee Hoon followed by KFC (3 buckets that have been bought earlier) to all those kids one by one. They seemed to be so happy and amused knowing the fact that they are being served KFC, Mee Hoon along with some soft drinks. Before they started to eat, Mr. Satish gave a short speech and even asked the students to thank us for our motive, as how you could see in the video above. Well, frankly speaking, their ‘thanks’ should go to all our donators and contributors especially for making this charity plan a big success.

While we were filming and chit-chatting with some of those kids while they were busy eating, we were being bombarded with tons of requests for “Chilly sauce”. It seems that the chilly sauce packets were not sufficient for them and we had one last packet, which we have no choice but to let it being shared by 3 kids. Then, came one of the teachers demanding for a packet of Chilly sauce as well! Oh my, we had a hard time saying that we don’t have any chilly sauce packets left to all of them.

While things started to heat up due to the Muar Kali issue, I thought of giving my blog a break for a while and thus posted the following jokes that I received via email and sharing it with you all. Regardless whether the jokes are old or new, they would definitely give you a good laugh. The ‘poriki paiyen’ in the jokes below refers to an Indian guy who happens to be a dumbfcuk, just in case if some people are blur about it.

Tamil Mimicry artist Kovai Ramesh also known as Ramesh Kumar, who is known to leave his audience in fits of laughter, had them in tears on Saturday, he died in a road accident on his 40th birthday. Coincidentally, it was the birthday of driver Karthikeyan who also died in the fatal accident.

Kovai Ramesh started his career as a mimicry artist performing at stage shows. His acquaintance with Kovai Guna and Kovai Ashok lead him to the talent show ‘Kalakkapovadhu Yaaru’ telecast by Vijay TV in 2005. Since then there was no looking back for this talented artist who captivated the viewers by dressing in female attire and imitating yesteryear heroines’ voices.

 
Well, I gotta say that I am a big fan of him when it comes to mimicking actresses body language as well as their voices, such as those of Oorvasi, Banupriya, Banumathi, Saroja Devi and so on. Those were classic! Unfortunately, sad to say that he is no longer alive now. Although I rarely watch Asatha Povathu Yaaru nowadays as how I used to do last time, he would always be one of my top picks from that show. May his soul rest in peace.

The speculation which stated that Prabhakaran has died seems to be fading out as a picture of him watching the news broadcasting about his death as well as holding a newspaper reporting about him being dead is spreading rapidly all over. Until now, I am still unsure about the picture as who knows, the above picture might be a doctored photograph as well. I even tried zooming in just incase If I could find any pixelated corners but to no avail. Well, if he is really still alive, then it would be good news to all those ardent global LTTE supporters who were initially fooled about his death. We shall wait and see the outcome of this.

The following was drafted by Durai of RagedIndian.com and both of us planned to post it simultaneously in our respective blogs today. The commenting option for this post has been disabled as I feel, it would be much better to discuss about this plan in one platform alone rather than two different platforms.

 
I’ve kept you in the dark for such a long time now about the new charity plan. I’ve been planning this from February and I would have executed it if I did not think twice at that time. Previously, when I did a small charity, I had only kept my closest friends in loop so that they could participate.

First, I would like to announce that this charity would be run online with me and Brother Makkez pioneering the event.

After I talked about it here, then I got to know some of you might want to participate. So, I would make it this way then. This time, I’m planning to make it a 2 in 1 kind of thing.

Let me get to the plan:

There are 2 things Makkez and I had planned after a few session of email brainstorming:

1. Books and Stationeries

This is the initial plan that I thought of in February. I’m planning to make the charity plan simple by contributing to Tamil schools. It’s simple because all I thought was, buying 1000 notebooks and stationeries and then handing it over to the Tamil school for them to distribute to the students.

Why?

It’s because based on my own experience teaching Tamil schools 5 years back, I’ve seen how Tamil school children’s lacks the basic tools they need to study everyday. They do not even have notes to write down whatever they’re studying. How do we expect them to excel then?

I know you might think that by distributing it to the children, little effect it might bring to the children. But whether it brings little impact or bigger impact, the rest is up to them. Perhaps we can continue planning something in the future for these kids.

For now, this is what we’re going to execute.
