Goodbye PoliceWatchMalaysia.com, Hello HINDRAF.co.uk!

Well, the news is now spreading rapidly that HINDRAF.co.uk is the new website which serves the similar purpose as PoliceWatchMalaysia.com. It seems that the domain name is registered under Parameswary Veasuvalingam, an UK individual, and in addition, this new domain name had even been mentioned in WaythaMoorthy’s email message of “War of Roses”, which can be found here. He stated that :

Kindly also take note that as policewatchmalaysia website is not available currently. You could log on to www.hindraf.co.uk to find out latest news on Malaysia.

MIC.ORG.MY - Sleeping?

Haha.....

LOL! All of a sudden, I happened to surf MIC’s website incase if they had come up with any latest gimmicks since the election is just around the corner but to my surprise, the latest news seems to be dated back to 2nd July 2007. Does that mean that there had been no any better news to be highlighted in that website? Or the organisation knew that they are “not going to make it” and thus, decided to leave that site as it is? I would suggest the webmaster of that site to close it down as it serves no better purpose compared to what are being served by other HINDRAF-related sites/blogs.

Haha....

In addition, some of the pages are not even readily available for viewers as it would display a so-called-weird-looking “Under Construction” page. Project Status?? Completion Date?? Developer??

Site Updates

First and foremost, I would like to say sorry for the downtime yesterday night as my server had a network configuration issue. Anyway, it had been fixed now. No freeze on Indian workers!

Pertaining to my earlier post stating that our government had suspended the recruitment of workers from India and Bangladesh, now it seems that our government had denied of saying so!

Bolehland bans intake of Indians and Bangladeshi workers!

What else I could say? Read it by yourself!

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Malaysia has suspended the recruitment of workers from India and Bangladesh, the government said on Tuesday, in a move one official said could be linked to a recent uproar about Malaysia’s treatment of its ethnic Indians.

The ban, which took effect on Dec. 31, 2007, could further strain Indo-Malaysian relations after some Indian politicians sympathised with ethnic Indians who complained they had been marginalised by the Malay-majority government.

“The cabinet decided about two weeks ago to freeze the intake of workers from India and Bangladesh,” a Home Ministry official told Reuters.

“Those already in the country will not have their work permits renewed,” he said. “The ruling applies to all workers, including expatriates.”

The news came as Indian Defence Minister A.K. Antony ended a three-day visit aimed at boosting defence ties.

Other ministry officials confirmed the ban but gave no reason. The government had said in October it was trying to determine exactly how many foreign workers the country needed.

Frankly speaking, we have got enough workers,” Works Minister S. Samy Vellu, the only ethnic Indian minister in the cabinet, said on the sidelines of a conference in New Delhi.

The government decided it is enough and we don’t want to recruit any more because we have enough workers. Is it wrong? Continue reading the rest of this entry »

Asatha Povathu Yaaru - Synopsis

Sharp 10pm, every Saturdays on channel Sun TV (ASTRO). This is what most of the indians would turn to, albeit it clashes with other programmes such as soccer, mega serials, news and so forth! Candidly, this is the only program that I’m enjoying to the max, watching it with full of laughters and joy! To those who doesn’t own ASTRO, well, you could watch the show(s) online at sites such as Youtube.com and TubeTamil.com. You could even download the episodes and save them into your computer so that you could enjoy watching them over and over again whenever you want, without the need of going online! Doing a simple Google search could lead you to thousand of sites where you could download those episodes!

Initially, “Kalakka Povathu Yaaru (KPY)” was the predecessor of “Asatha Povathu Yaaru (APY)” as it was first aired in Vijay TV, with Mathan Bob and Chinni Jayanth as the judges and Uma Riyaz as the host. In KPY, there would be preliminary rounds, quarter finals, semi finals and finals. The final champion would be selected and thus, would be awarded. Then, from nowhere, came Pandiyarajan and Sadagopan Ramesh (I bet 90% of Malaysian Indians would not have known who the hell he is!) as the next set of judges and Swarnamalya being the ‘temporary’ host.

It seems that a guy named Rajkumar was the person who initiated the programme at Vijay TV at first, and later Continue reading the rest of this entry »
